does that indicate that something is wrong with my form?

i think the rear medial hamstring part that gets sore is the semimembranosus.

also, i notice that the base of my quads are way more developed than the distal portion.

    What works for me:
feet a little bit wider than shoulder.
Angle them out so heel are roughly under shoulders.
Sit back then down until ass is between legs.
keep chest parallel to wall in front of you, then drive heels up and force legs out (spreading the floor some call it) while driving up and back with core.

    :dunno:

Did you do only squats for the entire workout?

umm sometimes its heavy squats then front then overheads, but those are with lighter weights.

i think i do all of that.
my squats feel fine, and i think my form is okay. i do kinda high reps though? 4X10x225 i'm at 145lbs

i always jog at 7mph for 5 mins, then some dynamic squats for stretching.

thats fine, you're supposed to be utilizing those muscles, well actually depending on your depth and stance.. but i get sore in the same exact area after heavy squatting vs and virtually minor or no soreness in my quads.

i squat OL style, slightly wider than shoulder width, toes pointed out

if you push your butt back when you go down at the bottom of the squat the hamstring will be stretched. It contacts when you go back up so it should be sore as it is doing work.
