Why does my computer always save Pictures as .BMP?

    No matter what format the picture it's in. JPEG, GIF, ect. I'll right click and the only possible format i can save it to is, BMP. My XP never done this to be until recently.
    There must be a simple solution to this. Please help me out someone! :big grin:
     
  2. That question has plagued man since the dawn of time; it's also been covered on these forums so often, it only makes sense if we included it as the 13 ammendent.

    "thou shalt know from this day forth XP saves pictures BMP so you must clear Internet Explorer cache"

    BMP is the default image format MS Paint recognises, so there is some relations there as to why XP saves it as such.

    I have heard that it's becuase of the browser cache. Try deleting your temporary Internet files.

    That will take care of the problem. You might need to restart after clearing.
