Ever since going on a 2000 cal diet it feels like i'm hungry literally all the time. Is it all mental?

No, it's because your body is used to eating at a caloric excess... Now it's eating at a caloric deficit and before your body starts tapping into fat and muscle stores for that energy it will stimulate extreme hunger in you first hoping that you'll eat.

Don't eat, push through that shit, and cut the fat. After a few weeks it will get easier. Also, timing your caloric intake and macro's properly will help keep hunger at bay.

also, eating activates all the digestive enzymes in your stomach. If you eat a smaller portion your stomach is already prepped for massive consumption and with no more food coming in the enzymes are just chillin there ready to work. Ever wonder why restaurants offer appetizers and salads and shit.

that was the worst sentence ever and it could all be wrong.
