Why does a computer reboot in the middle of a program?

    My little sister has a computer and whenever she plays the Sims 2 right in the middle of the game the whole computer will reboot. Whats going on? Thank you in advance :)

    MY computer reboots as well. But it will only do it 5 seconds after I exit Rainbow Six 3 for some reason. I click exit, my screen goes to my desktop, and then 5 seconds later it reboots like clockwork. Everything else works perfectly except rainbow 6. :dunno:

    i've gotten this a couple times with republic commandos. the display drivers are all up to date and the mobo/cpu are only a month used.

    In a blade enclosure near you
    right click My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced Tab -> Startup and Recovery (Settings) Button -> uncheck Automically Restart

    giving it a shot. guess won't really be able to tell til something happens if it fixes this or not.

    Did it. It came up with a blue screen that said IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I dont know what the fuck that means so I guess I wont be playing Athena Sword much :dunno:

    I think that's an overheated CPU. I've had that issue numerous times before with overheated chips, all the way from a K6-2 Mobile to a Duron Applebred.

    My new Zalman CNPS 3100+ cooler solved that.

    Yeah, it could be bad RAM too. But probably CPU heat.

    CPU temp is @ 30C

    Where can I get that program to test my memory?
