why do women chop off their hair after a relationship fails? I know quite a few female acquaintances that have done this after they split up with their boyfriend? What is the logic behind this? :ugh:

they need a change. It's standard post-breakup protocol.

yeah, nothing to be worried about. but if they get a sex-change, you may want to reconsider what type of boyfriend you were.

There tend to be a few standard things women to after a serious break up.

Can't say a girl has ever chopped off all her hair after a break up, but certainly changing the way dress, taking up smoking, new hobbies, etc...

I do it not only when I end a bad relationship...but when I need a change, want to move on from stuff...and want a different perspective in life.

Also just when I get bored with my hair. I'm about to chop it off again. :noes:

When you're single don't you try and look better to attract new sex? Getting your hair done generally comes with a hair cut. I mean unless you want to get a weave. :hsugh:

I cut off 6" or so after a breakup, but it was down to my ass which was his preference. I just wanted it to be shorter and lighter (less weight).

    this.

When something big happens in my life, I usually get a drastic cut to symbolize it, at least to myself. A big break-up would definitely qualify.

    woooooooooooow

you are confusing polygamy and Mormons

    I am neither of those

    wikipedia + Utah

During the 1870s and 1880s, laws were passed to punish polygamists, and in the 1890 Manifesto, the LDS Church banned polygamy. When Utah applied for statehood again, it was accepted. One of the conditions for granting Utah statehood was that a ban on polygamy be written into the state constitution. This was a condition required of other western states that were admitted into the Union later. Statehood was officially granted on January 4, 1896.

Are you saying my hair looks like this? :eek3::rofl:

Edit: people from outside of Utah who are NOT Mormon would not be able to spot a Mormon, but obviously you can spot a polygamist who styles their hair like that and dresses in the stereotype dress and tennis shoes
