A&P Why can't anyone make a 10mm F/1.8 lens?

  1. Seriously!

And price it around $350 ... you know how many that would sell?

18-55 or 17-55? 'Cos I thought the 17-55 was an alright lens. I take it you're using a crop body. 17mm is awesome at full frame.

Having said that, someone buy me the 14mm 2.8 Nikkor. kthx.

Its possible to make, but it would be huge and very very expensive. It would have to have alot of glass....

And why can't they make a 100-800 f/1.2 and price it at $99. Do you know how many they would sell? :run:

cause even at f/4-5.6 its already 600 dollars. no one would fucking spend 1500 dollars on a wide angle lens like that...plus the weight would be insane

    canon and tamron 14mm 2.8

i'm not sure how often you'd actually be able to shoot wide open though, seems the situations are pretty much limited

I dont really see how it would be of any advantage. Ive never tried to shoot something moving fast with my 10-20. DOF is almost infinite and I dont think it being 1.8 would make much difference to that.
