The best advice you can ever offer anyone is not to take advice from anyone

never try giving anyone advice. They are either too stupid to take it or smart enough to have already asked you.

unless you look like ronnie coleman, there's a good chance a regular gym goer wouldn't listen to you anyway

ya, definately don't give people advice, unless its asked.

although, I've had a guy before ask me how I've goten big over the past year and he basically disregarded everything I said, just to boast about his pathetic routine.

problem is when you give advice you're usually commenting on the negative side of their lift. Most people will take offense to anything that is negative about what themselves.

If you must give advice to someone, say you predict an injury soon to come, start with a compliment or something he/she is doing correctly, and THEN describe what they could do better.

I was realllly tempted to tell these guys they were deadlifting wrong, they looked like teenage mutant ninja turtles and were deading like 275.

They kept holding their backs in what looked like quite a bit of pain. But they were bigger then me. Even tho i deadlift more im sure they wouldn't have listened to me.

    1. Dont give advice, especally if you wernt asked for it
    2. People will believe what they want to believe. Example: A guy at my work (never works out, 30%+ body fat) just cant believe I eat protein bars at work, thinks it's so fucking rediculous and I'm waisting money. I asked him why he thought this way and he just says "you just need to eat healthy man"... I just give him the :hsugh: face and drop it because people are retards and it's not worth my time to even try.

Don't give advice unless you are asked. I know you are just trying to help, but people are stupid and stubborn. They do not want to be told they are doing something wrong, especially when it is in the gym.

At least now, when they hurt themselves you can "hey, I offered advice but you were too good to take it" and smile at them.

As it's been said a bunch of times already, just mind your own business. If somebody in there is doing something wrong, more power to them. I haev no interest in trying to worry about anything other than me in the gym.

I don't say shit to people in the gym unless they ask. Like yesterday I had a guy ask me about box squatting in between sets so I explained it to him.

I see people doing shit with horrible form all the time but I don't care.
