I just got my Dell Inspiron 9100 that has a 15 in widescreen. it is pretty nice although it is about 2 inches thick which believe me is fucking thick for a laptop. anyways all the images are stretched horizontally and i cant figure out why. ive gone through all the settings and what not and cant seem to figure it out. thanks in advanced.

also all text and what not is perfectly crisp.

I would take a guess that you have the resolution set to 4:3 resolution (ie 1024x768), instead of 16:9 (1365 x 768) and the Dell is compensating by stretching the screen to fill it.

no the res is 1680 x 1050 which is 16x10 which is what the screen is. everything else is crisp and not blurry like lcds are at wrong resolutions.
