Is this last one going to be PG as well? I think Lucas and his mignions are making a mistake by shooting for a PG rating. I thought this last one was suppose to be darker and more "adult" then previous episodes.

Maybe he forgot that his target audience grew up since Episide's 4,5, and 6. Fag.

They are meant to be family movies. He wanted to capture the feel of the serials shown when he was a kid (which is why Star Wars was Episode 4, not because he had 1, 2 & 3 planned already-he mearly had a vague idea for what they would be if he got to do it). His target audience btw is everyone, not just those old enough to have seen the origianals when they first hit the theators-he want's their kids as well (& since I watch the first run of Star Wars & haven't had kids yet, he's still got audiences to be had).

That being said, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere Revenge of the Sith would be PG-13... don't quote that (yet) as I'm only about 95% sure, but I think so.

It's because when the first 3 were made, people weren't whiny pussies that cried and wrote in their diaries every time they saw a little violence in a movie.

Ive given up on the star wars movies. I stopped liking them at Jar Jar Binks. What happened George Lucas? You used to be cool.

Regardless, everyone is still going to go see it or rent it.

Episode 3 will be PG-13 for "graphic violence and disturbing images" according to Lucas. Episodes 4-6 were rated PG because back then it was only G, PG, R.

I think thats in reference to the deep fried, extra-crispy Anakin.

Exactly. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was the first movie to get a PG-13 rating. Hell, it was made FOR that movie. As for 1 and 2 being rated PG, the story didn't lend themselves to much violence. If he wrote some in, it would almost be selling out.
