    Where was was this presentation?

I have a hard time beleiving Sony is dumb enough to try to make back its production costs on hardware. Thats what games are for.

I know. It is hard to believe. But that is the price for being much more powerful than the competition. The presentation was at the Ohio State University as a final project for a group of graduating students. XBOX 360 was suppose to go for $300 and PS3 for between $400 and $450, and they said at this point it looked closer to $450. I had the same reaction as you but the presentation was very indepth and they did their homework.

xbox is already kicking playstation's ass right now, so if cost becomes the deciding factor, sony is done.

i'll probably be getting a PS3... there are just more games i like on that than xbox

    .. generally speaking.

in the end, i'll prolly have both. if x360 has some good shit by the time ps3 comes out, i'll get x360 when they drop the price to compete with the ps3 release next year.... then get ps3 later once the price drops just a bit.

  13. Although I hate to have to constantly upgrade from PS1 to PS2 to now the soon-to-be PS3, I understand that's just the way consoles are - they are always upgrading, which is always a good thing, but anyways, although I hate constantly upgrading, I will most likely wait until a few weeks after the PS3 comes out, see what the initial price is just out of curiosity only. And then I'll wait to hear some reviews and comments and feedback on the PS3 in general. After about a month or so, I'll probably save up and buy it.

I'll probably pick one up rather than buying a stand alone blu-ray dvd player.

Do you think there will be anyway to add a hdd to it like the old ps2 or do you think that sony fixed that lovely mod when the rereleased the ps2?

    i'll stick with PC

PC = great value for game experience and great on line play
console = high expense for console, high expense for games, poor on line play

    i'll stick with PC thanks.

Might buy a PS2 after PS3 comes out and i can get one for ultra cheap with cheap games. PS3 games are gonna be too much $ for me, but i hope yall enjoy it
