It's not very bad. I think the bellhousing bolts are 17mm, and the mounts are the same or close to it. You probably need a cherry picker to hold the motor, but you can likely get away with just a jack and a block of wood. It's been a long time since I did one, but they're not hard.

I have a cheery picker, sets of jack stands, impacter and metric/standard impact sockets, ratchet sets, hand tools

I was thinking Id need a tie rod separator or ball joint puller or clamp or something

don't need a tie rod separator
get 2 hammers, hold one on one side, hit the other side with other hammer and it'll come out

Wat kind of union is at the trans on both sides that connects the trans to the wheels and how do you disconnect them?
Do you pry on the steel bland holding the rubber boot on closest to the transmission to gain access?

Okay. Looks to be the cv axle. Now how do I remove it? There are some grooves machined into the steel hub closest to the transmission, do I pry on that and pop it out or do I take the boot off?

it is a toyota.. you can pretty much deconstruct all their cars with a 10 and 12mm socket set.

I don't think so, just pull the axles. It's a big nut and a cotter pin. You can leave the rack a-arms and all in.
