I have my eye on a "loaded" '98 S-10 ZR-2 w/96,000 for $8,000. The body is utterly perfect, but it needs ball joints and a couple of other things for inspection. Is this a good price? What about reliability? I'd like to put another 100K on it should I buy it.

    WAAAAAYYYYY too much.

assuming it is LOADED (4.3L High-Output, 4x4 automatic, bed liner, power seat, a/c, cd/cassette, step bars, etc, etc) then it's worth $7k private-part, MAXIMUM. And that's like immaculate condition.

I have a ZR2 Blazer... and as nice as it looks, and performs "ok" off road for an :ifs: I wouldn't buy another one. the motor is great, but that's about it. there are constant issues with the front suspension, they squeek and rattle horribly, heater cores don't seem to last long.....

check out www.zr2.com for more information.
