I would like to get one...

But I'm gonna buy a MBP this fall and I already have a 4 GB nano. I am on Cingular (or AT&T now) though, so I could always buy one and not have to worry about changing phone services. I'd probably have to sign a new contract though.

I'm actually thinking of getting this instead, it's a complete iPhone knockoff. I want all the functionality of the iphone except for the phone part to be honest with you, and this seems to have it for cheaper.

Yea, cingular fucking blows. What I don't get is why did Apple choose the worst network for mobile data??? They have a device that begs to use data like it was going out of style... Yet they choose the edge network -- which is uber shitty.

Why oh why couldn't they have made it CDMA for Sprint/Verizon??!?!?!?!

Because sooner or later people are going to figure out how to unlock the iPhone, and then they can use it on all the GSM networks. Here, Cingular has great service, I get much better service than Verizon or Sprint.

I'm going to wait, not sure how long though. I certainly want to see one in person, and play with the touch screen. The new K850i from Sony Ericsson looks amazing. 5 MP camera, quad-band with EDGE and 3G.

You do know it's not yet working on a 3g network right?

And with all the money that'll be going to Cingular/AT&T, I bet they take over with a quickness.

I'm waiting for them to show up as refurbs with no contract obligations on the Cingular Premier site. After they go through enough revisions to put 3G on it. Until then, it's worthless to me.
