    I dood it again. :mamoru:

    85mm f/1.8 has a new home in my bag. I did some test shots with it against my 70-200 f/2.8 and all I can say is the big glass is gonna take a rest for a while.

    :h5: I joined the club too! In fact my 85 1.8 is sitting right here by my side while I'm typing this... :rofl: It's a great looking lens, and talk about shallow DOF. I haven't really had time to get anything done in the ways of testing, but I still love this lens.

    The only thing that pisses me off is the hood design. It's got 4 little clamps that click into the ring just below the filter threads, why couldn't they make one like on the 70-200 where it rotates in? Oh well, it looks bad ass. :noes: :bigthumb:

    im this close to pulling the trigger on a new one for $333 on amazon. Figured I minus whale pay the extra $33 over used to get one brand new.

    I generally put filters on all my lenses. However I've been rethinking that policy lately and taking them off when I shoot.

    Just put 0 filters just for lens protection...

    on a macro? they have the recessed front elemnet anyway. any filter will degrade the final image due to the distance from the element
