why the fuck wouldn't a d700 be able to do sports? It has the same internals as the D3?

I hope someone here didn't really say that. It's just stupid.

If I remember correctly though, it was because he didn't have his 3d tracking set up properly.

heinz asked about setting up his d700 focus to work like the one canon feature, which jared helped him with. i don't remember him saying that about sports though.

anyway he's getting on a plane right now and will be gone for a week lol

Ohya. He called me out about it because he said he couldnt shoot polo or some crap. Then I mentioned Mark Rebilas and his D700s. Meh...doesnt matter. Bottom line is the D700 is probably one of the best cameras ever made. There really isnt anything it cannot do.

Yep, can't wait for something new to come out so that the price of the d700 goes down

In for lower priced d700 :x:

I'm really considering adding another D700 or a D3 to my lineup. Would love two cameras w/ the same sensor, and having the D300 as the full time backup. :noes:

    That's debatable, but add a 50mm 1.8 with a UV filter and it's close to D90 territory.

yes it is... however. when reach is needed, the d700 is disappointing when going from the d300.

there's no reach difference. crop senser != reach.

    lol.

Ok let me clarify, i am found wanting when i use my d700, when i need a higher res image of a specific area of that particular scene.
