ripper? what happened to your whole plan to go?

i was torn between two things

live off my savings in Boston and train and party a lot all summer. basically pretend i'm and an undergrad again

    and

take a job back home in upstate new york for the summer and have enough money to stay in thailand for as long as i want

of course if i hadn't smashed my hand i'd be there right now.... i think i'm going with the latter. any of you guys able to make a trip in the fall? octoberish probably. it's a long trip. i don't want to go alone :hs:

pommey will you be around? you're thai right? i forget

Slow season at my job is summer. You get me pricing on the trip and where you wanna go and if we can agree on a gym I'm into it bro.

I got the Hook up at Jitti Gym, Legends, and a few other places.

I'm going in the Fall :hs:

I would definitely check out Jitti. I've heard nothing, but good things. I wanted to go to Kaewsamrit if i spent time in bangkok though.

a plane ticket will probably be $1,200 or so. a month at a gym in bangkok will cost somewhere around $600 (probably less), but that includes training and food. going to up north to chiang mai would be significantly cheaper and going somewhere super touristy like one of the islands would be more expensive.

price varies though depending on how much you haggle, how long you stay, if you fight for the, etc.

i was supposed to be there now, but work slowed down alot sooner then i expected. my plane ticket is paid for, my accomadtion is nothing, just that crushing debt i need to service. i don't know about fall. i was thinking january myself. not sure how long i'd stay, i was planning a month and a month in hong kong.

of coursxe if i was debt free, i'd save up to go for a year or 2 or 3 :big grin:

don't forget alcohol, need money for that too and ladyboys.

if you go to bangkok go to NaNa plaza, head to Hog's Head Saloon....its owned by an American guy who has all his girls checked monthly. Best thing to do is sit there and drink, watching the world go by. It's fun.

I wish i didn't have college or else i'd be down. :sadwavey:

he said it was pretty good, he couldn't stay though. it cost him too much, not like it was expensive, just that he stayed in thailand for a year. and his budget wasn't that big, plus in chiang mai he could stay and train for free. Up north is typically cheaper then phuket. but you can still find cheap places there. just depends on your budget and how long you wanna stay., should i go back, i'll train at sitmachun in chalong. just finding a place that's cheap and has internet might be a challenge.

Hells yeah! One of the perks of being Thai is not having to mess around with visa's etc. So I'm here all the time :0
