according to Mr. Euos you can get up to 100 beta testers per developer account, it is $99 i believe to sign up for the developer account so you can DL and use 3.0

    anybody in :dunno:

I've heard it's really buggy. Plus I don't want to loose video recording support like qik and cycorder / iphone video recorder.

It also locks it to the 3.0 software. So you can't downgrade.

Not true. This is right from the Read Me.

That won't downgrade the baseband. We don't know how the Dev Team will work around 3.0 to jailbreak it so I wouldn't chance upgrading the baseband right now just to find later that you had to have the 2.2.1 baseband if you wanted to jailbreak 3.0 later on.

Guess you don't understand the "By installing iPhone OS 3.0
beta software on your Authorized Test Devices, these Devices are permanently
    “locked” into testing mode" part.

Or the fact that your phone's unique ID must be authorized with Apple to run the beta. So the person the registered their phone for the SDK would be able to run it and everyone would be out their money.

    Untrue...http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/f201/68261.htm
Negative again...the SDK Registerer adds your UDID to the list. I have the IPSW, installed it after giving my UDID to my friend, Shift+Restore and everything works fine.

Yes, 3.0 is buggy...that goes without saying on a Beta that isn't due for release for 3-4 months. :mamoru:

Still the issue of it being on the newer baseband permanently.

-I've had no issues with calls whatsoever
-Lag is evident sometimes...fixed with a reset
-SMS keyboard sometimes types a letter/3 seconds. Annoying but you can close SMS and reopen and it's fixed
-I've had SMS shut down on its own when the keyboard lag was happening
-No 'group' SMS available right now...it fails when sending
-None of the applications I normally use have been affected
    -GPS still works fine
-Random loss of sound...fixed with a reset
    -Battery life is normal
-Cannot 'force quite' programs that are hung up...reset only way for now

See Below-MMS doesn't work right now. Word from AT&T is an update to their system should hopefully happen soon but definitely will happen before official 3.0 release. Iphone will create MMS through SMS screen using a little camera icon next to the text entry, you can press send and it goes through the 'loading' but ultimately fails.-See Below

That's what I can remember for now...I'll try to remember to post more when I can.
I'm in the process of leaving work now and am calling ATT to ensure it works. I'll delete this info when I get home if it doesn't work. :(

I have contacts if you guys want to get in on the beta testing. I think it's $5 paypal'd to them and they will send a screenshot showing your UDID is added.

BTW, to get your UDID you will need to connect in itunes and go to the Summary tab. Click on the serial # and it will change to your UDID.

I think I saw someone post on here that they're a developer too, I'll look for the thread.
**Update...I thought Texchef was a Dev but he didn't say anything about having the $100 license.

So the MMS fix hasn't worked for me. I called AT&T, was transferred to iphone support (?) who agreed AT&T were idiots so she transferred me back. 20 minutes later, AT&T wasn't able to update my line with MMS.

Good news is there are rumors AT&T is working on a fix by the beginning of next week.
