NO! there isn't but there isn't alot of software/hardware out on the market for linux yet and most of the posts in here are about things that prolly will not work on a linux system soooo........i just think it would be aLOT easier on the linux users that use this GREAT website....just an opinion though

p.s.-------> i have recently set up a linux based pc to run as a workstation/server here at my house and really know how hard it can be trying to scower the web for linux based software/hardware, driver's,ect.

    thx to all who post

Windows is so widespread that any general computer forum is basically a de facto windows forum.

C&P isn't big enough to split.
Oh, and there is very little hardware that doesn't work with Linux, and those are easily worked-around by using a different brand. The only hardware I've not been able to make work properly is my 802.11b+ Wireless PCMCIA card. and there are drivers for it, but i'm too dumb to make it work :wtc:.

You want to cut down on the C&P traffic even more? :ugh: I think OT is segmented into enough fourms.

i don't think there are enough questions. If c&p split up I think it should be

Software (apps, operating systems, programs, programming)

    Hardware (hardware of course)

Yeah - one page of threads per day right now - no need to split (even if I was Penguin-whore :big grin:)

I don't think so either. I was just saying IF it did that's what would work best in my opinion. I'm fine with C&P how it currently is. :wiggle:

Nope. I use Linux as my everyday OS, but I'm fine just having this forum for general computer discussion, and if you ask a Linux question here chances are someone might know the answer. If you want a forum dedicated to Linux, go to http://www.linuxquestions.org.

I'll second everyone else. Definitely no need to split.. being that this forum gets rarely any action..

It'd be even slower.. Just post whatever you need in regards to Linux here.

Barely enough traffic right now. Certainly not enough on Linux alone.
