I take it...I'm all about ease of use. So if I want some extra carbs or whatever its nice to be able to drink them versus having to cook rice or pasta.

    It's awesome stuff

Instead of being flat 1hr after the workout, your glycogen is fully repenished
and you're ready to go again.

    Do it!

Plus, dextrose is really sweet and I hate that. Waxy maize starch tastes of absolutely nothing.. it's a chalky texture and you barely even notice it

For those of us who enjoy a low carb lifestyle, waxy maize or dex is better than breads or fructose or the like.

Waxy maize absorbs the fastest, compared to dex, malto, or fructose. Theory being that it won't spike insulin as easily as dex might..

Lots of them say the same thing - fuller looking muscles, especially straight after a workout where you usually have that flat period when the pump has worn off. That seems to be the anecdotal evidence on a lot of forums too, and it has been my personal experience too.

One other benefit I can think of is that it doesn't cause any bloaing/digestion issues whereas I tend to get a dodgy stomach if I take large-ish quantities of maltodextrin.

By the way... read the second last post in the T-nation link...

So while mixing it with protein may slow it down, BCAA's , L-leucine or Wraath, may still be good to mix with it.
