Already have an iPhone, don't need a bigger version of it. Saving the funds for an HP slate so I can have a actual computer, and not just a giant iPod touch.

There is no official tethering. But if you're jailbroken you just use one of the 11ty apps and you're good. Those apps create a local wifi hotspot and you'd then join that hotspot with your ipad.

I was thinking of ordering one, but will hold of for a bit. If someone makes a good/decent Nav application, I'm sold.

I haven't kept up to date on most iPhone/iPod touch apps as of late. I'll check out TomTom. Thanks.

No, too small. I already have an iPhone and its GPS nav function is def useful, but I would love to have something bigger. I already have a double din Kenwood headunit, but without navi, that I dock my iPhone with for music. I was thinking about upgrading to a newer headunit with nav, but if the iPad has a good turn-by-turn app that's close to standalone or headunit navigation, I'll def get the iPad, if I can interface it with my headunit that is.
