TT-33, what do you guys think of these particular guns, I find my self intrigued by them. Who has one, who has shot one etc.

while the cheap ammo is attractive it is not my only interest in these guns, I find the round an interesting oddity that has fallen into obscurity. Help me OT keep me from spending money I don't have.

I have a CZ-52 and a couple thousand rounds of 7.62Tok. it's a fun little round, and a bit of a flame thrower. Very flat shooting and cheap. On the CZ recoil is about the "push of a .45", but the "snap of a .40/9mm +p" if that makes any sense.

I'm also interested in a TT-33, but since my C&R ran out, it's not cost effective to have it shipped to a dealer.

I'd always heard that 7.62x25 does a hell of a job penetrating armor, that even their standard FMJ rounds do a better job than actual steel core 5.7mm rounds, and doing alot more damage to the target behind the armor too.
But the TT-33 and CZ-52 haven't been featured in any recent action movies, so the anti-gun movement has determined that they aren't dangerous.

    sounds about right.

I too have heard from many people that it's a pretty potent round.

There's a Box of Truth segment on these guns.

With my 21st coming up soon I've been planning on picking up a CZ-52. Never held a TT-33 but they just look like they'd be too small for my hands (I have the biggest hands of anyone I've ever met), but the CZ seems like a decent size, and cheap ammo would be great considering I'll still be a poor college student at least for another 2 years.

Whats a reasonable price on a CZ-52 these days?

They are fun shooters, ugly but if you're just buying one to shoot cheap ammo, they're great.
