Those synthetic stocks are some of the worst I've ever seen or handled.

:werd: My friend has the black synthetic, and its for shit. Makes me glad as fuck about getting the wood stock 10/22. His gun feels and handles worse than a cheap airsoft gun. Creaks and all.

Have you killed anything with the .260? How did it do?

I dont doubt that it stands up to the weather, I just hate the ribbed pieces that screw onto the stock, the indentation on the butt with Ruger written in it, and the hard-as-a-rock integral butt pad. I hunted with a guy this weekend that had one in .338, no way would I want to pull the trigger on that thing.

Heh, yeah. I have an aftermarket rubber recoil pad to dampen my uber powerful .22LR.

i think im just going to keep it, or sell it outright locally. the more i thought about it, the more of a hassle it seems....thank you very much for the consideration though:)

it is amazing. ive shot about 7 deer with it, all took one shot and none ran more than 25-30 yards. my brother has used it on several nice bucks and 2 of them dropped in there tracks, the other one ran about 20 feet and collapsed. im very fond of the caliber now. i just wish more manufactures made ammo for it.

none of ours kick too bad at all. they weigh about 6 1/2 pounds. id rather have that light of a gun to lug around all day, and have it kick a little more.

besides, when an animal is in front of you, you never feel recoil.
