Update on top of page two

Yes I know, shitty camera phone pics. I'll have to dig out the digital camera later on tonight.

In any case, its a Punch series 3, DVC 4ohm 12. I have a RF 500 that will be pushing it.

A pretty decent sub, but don't let anything/anybody touch it while it's thumpin' because that shit cracks mad easily.

That doesnt make it any less overpriced new nor does it make it have any more performance.

I'm using a RF 250W 2-channel amp to push my JL 13w1v2-4. Works okay. I'm prolly gonna switch to a better monoblock and move the RF to handle the fronts (currently running off the deck) and add some CDT comps in the front.

That amp has to be at least 5 years old. Not that that's bad or anthing. I had an 800a2 7 years ago and loved it.

I had CDTs in my Tacoma and Volvo. Awsome speakers for the money. I'd also consider eD comps (but they're made by CDT, too)

It's crazy you say that. I have some old school 10 inch subs that still look new that bump ridiculously

go to a local non-chainstore shop, that sells fosgate... and see if any of them would be interested in them, or knows someone interested.

I have an old RF amp that is tiny. Probably like 10x5in in size and it says like 40 watts max. My buddy wanted to borrow it for his 1 10" sub and I laughed but it actually sounded pretty damn good for what the amp is.

Competition from 10 years ago is nowhere near where it is at today. Today it is who is going to spend the money. At least for all out SPL. :wtc:

it was that way 10 years ago too - which is why i don't do it anymore
(and i was in SQ, not SPL)

in any case, the amps i have will pound the shit out there now into dust
    very hard to kill
