    WITHOUT BASHING AMD

What's the difference between the 'black' processors and regular? Name/price?

    Say I'm comparing an AMD 64 5000+ x2 with a matching AMD 64 5000+ 2 Black.

The only differences I see are that Newegg has the Black in-stock with no cooling for $129, the regular w/heatsink and fan on backorder for $119

AMD 'Black Editions' is simply an FX at a lower price.
The only difference between the Black and the Regular one is that the Black has an unlocked multiplier. This means that the black edition will overclock better.

One important note though, your motherboard must support that feature. If you have a shitty motherboard, the black edition is pretty much useless and will just perform the same as the regular one.

Don't waste your time with the Athlons, wait and go with Phenom.
    Or better yet, Penryn. :mamoru:
