if so, what brand? i use the vs. shoes, but im thinking of switching to ones with less of a heal
I have VS also. Thinking about switching because they're ugly.
same as you
I've had the same pair of nike cross trainers for 10 years
what a terrible reason to switch
you buy NOTHING based on how it looks?
you dont buy olympic shoes for fucking looks
yeah, but if there's the same pair that are two differet colors, you get the better looking ones.
or two pairs that have the same functionality, why settle for the ugly ones?
theres a difference between getting a pair originally and buying a whole new pair of 90$+ shoes that you ONLY wear at the gym for short periods of time jsut because you don't like the way they look
$90 is chump change to some.. maybe it's really Rick Ross postin, son!
I have addidastar II's but I think dowins are just as good
the adidas are too expensive. i want something with less of a heel than the vs.
i read that the vs. shoes are relabeled dowins
A bunch of people at my gym has the same shoes, the only way I can tell which ones are mine is because I got blood on them. I'm sick of looking at them, but in all likelihood I'll keep them until they die - they do their job pretty well.
I have mixed feelings towards the Dowins. My training partner has had hers for about 6 months and they are already falling apart. The sole is cheaply made and the upper is glued to the sole, instead of stitched. As a result, her upper has separated significantly from the sole. I have had mine since Jan, and they are starting to do the same.
If you buy the Adidas, keep in mind they will last you very a long time. My previous pair had two years of training on them, before I switched to the Dowins. They still have plenty of life in them (probably at least another three years), and I may have the heel raised by a cobbler. I only bought the Dowins for the higher heel, and I maybe forced to switch back. You get what you pay for. A shoe hand made in Germany vs. one made in China...
why the shit would weightlifters want that high of a heel? Im assuming oly lifting because theres no way Im gonna squat in a 1" heel.
oh, and lol @ "carbon fiber like material" on a shoe that doesnt need to be lightweight.
I bought some polish wl shoes when I had a forray in weightlifting at the start of last year. I developed a patella tendonosis and have subsequently changed back to a flat shoe and gone back to powerlifting. I could have possibly resolved the issue with a lot of mobility work and whatever else, but it just wasn't worth it for me.
I have do-wins, they're great.
I have no idea why you tards would spend that much money on olympic shoes unless you're actual olympic lifters.
but thats just me
i dont know why you tards spend so much money on your syntha 6 protein
what are you using these days?
