I have a Canon XL1s and shoot a few shorts here and there, video crew sign in!
I shoot my loads to videos. Does that count?
sorry no. I would like to blow my load on this though:
Nice. Can it use EF lenses?
You know, I've been trying to find concrete on information on that.
The 1/3 bayonet looks mighty familiar, but until I find solid information stating so,
dude hooked one up to a 1200mm L, and the camera itself has a 7x factor Min focusing distance was 2 blocks away
"Featuring the exclusive XL interchangeable lens-mount system, Canon's new XL1S provides high-end video camcorder users with outstanding versatility and creative possibilities.
Like its predecessor, the world's first digital video camcorder with an interchangeable lens-mount system, the XL1S also features this XL lens-mount system unique to the digital camcorder market. When used with an optional EF mount adapter, this system allows the camcorder to utilize a range of Canon's extensive line-up EF lenses for EOS 35mm cameras - and the possibilities with the XL1S are greater than ever before."
Oops. If this was referring to the XL1s, yeah. with an adapter.
I'm seeing if the JVC can
I think the adapter had more like 8.x factor.
Either way, he eneded up with a lens with a focal length 5 digits long.
Damn.. I only have one of those HD video cameras and it does the job for me
im shooting on an XL2 at the moment.. i like it so far.
nice. 24p must be pretty sweet
for what? Appraisals or something?
been shooting video for 25 plus years and 16mm film for even longer.
hey there, haven't seen you around in a while
what cameras are you shooting on nowadays?
Sony D600 digital betacam for video. Arriflex SR for 16mm film. I shot a short documentary last year entirely with a Sony MiniDV cam, the DX1000. It actually turned out pretty well. Impressive little camera.
who wants to buy my sony?
I give you $1,000 for that xl1s
I looked at it, and thought it was a XL1s at first. Then I looked again, and saw 20x instead of 16x
