This thing is on Bravo right now, and I'm trying to watch it, but I just can't. I want to watch the whole thing through so that I can argue against it when people bring it up. It's so hard.

Its actually not so much an anti-gun movie. He does say "Canada has more guns then the US per capita, but there is less crime, why?"

That's not true. He says that Canada has less guns, so that must be why they have less gun murders. He talks a lot about how black people are demonized in America. He concludes that because 13% of Canadians are non-white, that they are just like us.

I actually went on a trident killing spree at my school. Luckily since I did not use a gun no one gave a shit.

Since I will never get the chance to answer a poll with "I killed a man with a trident" ever again, that's what I answered.

But I have seen it, and wasn't impressed.

Yup, know your enemy ;) My enemy is a very dishonest portly fellow that uses either outright lies or very misleading information to try to make his points.

I downloaded it from the campus file sharing network years ago. The whole time I was watching it I was making the :ugh: face. I don't know how I got through the whole thing, but as soon as it was over I deleted it off the computer.

At the time, I had no idea who Michael Moore was, or what he stood for, and even then I could tell that the only good thing about that movie was the editing. Without the editing room, Michael Moore would be forced to, I dunno, tell the truth maybe.

    dumb movie.

the part that especially pissed me off was when he went into that guys house and was bothering him, "why do you have a gun, you look like you're safe!"
"it's my right to have a gun"
"BUT WHY DO YOU HAVE ONE?! THINK OF THE CHILDRENZ!!"

I haven't seen it in quite some time but I think you're very wrong as I recall. He used an old man with alzheimers to try to make gun owners look like looneys. He campaigned to get kmart to stop selling ammunition. He used some gratitutious editing and omission of fact to make a free gun for opening a bank account seem like a huge deal. He tried to make a guy that keeps a gun in his home for self defense seem crazy. Its very anti gun.

He doesn't really make any points though. I've only seen part of the movie, but at one point he compared owning a gun to owning a nuke. :ugh:

And he brought up a lot of other shit but didn't offer up any solutions, like a true liberal.
