My McLeod Street Twin wasn't up for the challenge of being a daily driver as well as a Street/Strip car...So I ordered a Spec Stage 3 with Aluminum Flywheel. I'd have ordered the Stage 3+ if they weren't backordered at the moment.

Not quite sure what it runs yet, I put down a 12.5 @ 110 here in Tucson at 3100asl when I was 415 to the wheels... Now I'm 470 to the wheels and waiting on a clutch :)

That is good to know... I'm replacing a twin disc McLeod with this Spec Stage III. I have all the parts to take me to over 600rwhp, so I definately want a good clutch to handle all of that! The Street Twin w/Aluminum Flywheel wasn't up for the daily driving part of it...

I've got the stg 1 in my 94 formula LT1. Don't plan on much more than 400 lbft tq, so i did this one, and it grabs great. it's not completely broken in yet, so i don't know the full potential, but i like it so far.

I have a stage 3 kevlar clutch in my Hawk... granted it's "only" putting out 395rwtq but the clutch is great.

My stage 3 is still in break-in now, but seems great. Unfortunately the clowns at SPEC sent me a debunked flywheel where only 6 of my 8 crank bolts fit.. I had to install it, had no other choice and now SPEC won't help me out. oh well... will have to take er back out and have a machine shop work on my aluminum flywheel.

Why would you install it if it didn't fit right?

Because I could still get 6 bolts in, in an opposite pattern for flywheel balance and get the car back on the road before my wife got home (she never knew it was broken). Its really not a big deal since the 2 bolt holes are slightly off, and nothing that a machine shop cant fix in a matter of minutes.

I had a Spec clutch in my last car with a Fidanza flywheel. I loved both of them. A few people had complained about that specific combo, but I never had any problems with it, nor did I hear anyone else complain about a Spec clutch.

SPEC stage 3 clutch = perfect street/strip clutch

Pedal feel is great, grips like a mother, and doesnt take too much getting used to it.

Currently pushing 425-450 hp with it and no problems at all

you know on most crank/flywheels (in fact all of the new mustangs ive done clutch swaps on) the holes for the flywheel bolts are offset and you just have to rotate the flywheel till they fit right.
