Why don't you go test drive one and find out for yourself?

Anyone who owns one on here is obviously going to say its great or else they would have purchased something else.

i've shopped around. It doesnt seem like any of the competitors offer anywhere near the features of the VW and still stay under 20k. Not to mention the VW has on average 30hp more than the competition.

    yeah the 08s are a huge improvement, there's now 170hp to match the 170tq! 0-60 is a decent 7.8 with a manual

I have a 3-door MKV, absolutely love it. I liked it a lot more than the Mazda3 2.0 and it's much better equipped for the price

Paid 16,717 out the door for it, with no options aside from an auto

your right, I actually just went and test drove a base gti. I liked the cloth seats better than the leather, and I didnt feel the need for anymore options. invoices at $22k... we may have a winner :eek3:
