i see your strobes in #7 :mamoru:

the color in the last two looks dull, did you forget to PP them?

    I like #3 and #6

Nice shots as always buddy. D700? when did you pick that up? In the first shot where were you shooting from?

I just borrowed it from work, I made another thread with big (1280x800) natural light examples. I was just seeing what FF could do. I'm impressed, but it's still not good enough.

First shot I was shooting from the first row of seats on the second level. They only open the lower bowl, and one side of second level seating for Oil Kings games.. so I sometimes just go chill over there with a 300. It's nice to just sit there in the comfy seats with no one around you :p

I like these much more than the 700.

However, I think if you had lights that were fast enough, the 700 would be nicer.

i agree with adam, i much prefer the clarity of the strobed shots then i do with natural lighting.

It seems you get just enough bounce off teh ice with the strobes for fill, and the strobes make the image pop.

The 700 pics are muddled in comparison.

Absolutely. I'm sure the Elinchroms we have are fast enough (I'm assuming because they're high end and expensive), but they just don't output enough light. I can't COMPLETELY cut out the ambient :hs:

D50 focus speed is fucking POOOOORRRR. It's horrible.
