When I'm driving, 5mph or above, there is a whirring or buzzing sound from the rear end. That happens at any speed and "stops" for about a second or two when you left off the gas then it starts again. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

It's a Dana 35 differential, I just resealed and put new fluid in the diff.

It shouldn't make noise, because differentials have spiral-cut gear teeth specifically to avoid transferring the load from one pair of teeth to the next all at once. Are you sure you refilled it with the right type/weight of oil? Nothing with a thinner cold weight, or anything like that.
