can you go all the way down then come back up or does that hurt you somehow? i always figured more rom=better workout. but this guy i know was curling and stopping about 3/4 of the way down, then i tell him stop being a bitch and go all the way down. he then asked me how long i've been lifting, and that if i've lifted long enough i should know not to go all the way down.

I never go all the way down.. in theory that if I hold it 3 or 4 inches from the bottom there is constant resistance..

i switch it up..takes more strength to have to break the plane of total lockout, but there is more TUT if you don't.. though you can argue that it may take longer to finally get the weight back up if you do bring the bar/db all the way down to lock out..

i do my db curls and db hammer curls sitting on an incline bench, i lock out at the bottom

constant resistance seems right. Also you might lose form and then just swing the weights down and keep jaming your elbow joint which can't be good either.

Why are you using an EZ-Curl bar?
