Which way to aim a sub?

    For more base?

I have a 2001 Cavalier, and the backseats come down pretty easily to that I can have the box and the sub facing the inside part of my cabin.

Or is it better to have it facing the trunk. I'm trying to figure this out, because I was thinking about getting a good amount of dynamat and doing my entire trunk before I get everything installed.

usually you get louder bass response if you let the subs fire towards the the back of the car (i.e facing you when you open the trunk)

point it to the trunk, and it's bass btw, not base.

lol, yea, I noticed the bad misspelling, oh well.

Well, sounds like I've gotten enough advice, so I am gonna buy some sound deadner and gonna line my trunk the hell up with it <grin>

I know at least when you have a very well sealed trunk that the sound is much better.

I would experiment with it to see which yields the most bass. If you have it crossed over low enough though with a steep enough slope, the positioning wont matter all that much.

point it whichever way it appears to sound best to YOU, in YOUR vehicle.
