this one is just for a plinker/range bitch duty.

    P6/225:
pros: 9mm sig for less than 300. ergos.

cons: expensive factory mags. grips are stupid expensive as well.

    Walther P22:
    pros: super cheap ammo.

cons: some can be finicky about ammo brands. can sometimes need "premium" .22 to work.

    WHICH TO CHOOSE?!?!?

I agree. There are better guns out there for the money.

I'd say the Sig, between the two, since Walther still makes P22s and you could get one of those later.

Disclaimer: I have no idea how many P6 pistols were made, or might be imported, so any inferred "doom and gloom" about limited supplies, from the above statement, is entirely on the reader.

Sorry, not thrilled with either choice, what do you want? The sig's trigger is kinda blah, mags are expensive, and some don't feed jhps. The walther p22 is a relatively low quality gun made by an airgun manufacturer that breaks/fails at a higher rater than most other .22s.

    out of those: p6

sig quality, relatively cheap ammo, and if you had to it would suffice as a self defense gun.

I own both, and both have their pros and cons.

If you have another higher caliber pistol I'd get the P22. Dicking around all day with 11 bucks in ammo is great and fun. i bought mine over a year ago and it likes any cheap ammo I've given it. I've cleaned it once after 3000 rounds, once the 22 gunk started building up, and haven't had any problems with it.

The P6 is nicely made and has all the benefits of higher caliber ammos. Although, if you're the type that likes more than 2 mags, it can get expensive.
