I'm wiring up my place with cat5e into each room and was wondering which switch you guys recommend? and hopefully one that isn't that expensive.

I'll have a total of 12 ports throughout the house, but probably only 5-7 will be used on a daily basis. So I'll probably need a 16 port switch of two 8 port switch.

get two of this? NETGEAR GS108 10/100/1000Mbps ProSafe Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch with Jumbo Frame support 8 x RJ45 4,000 MAC Address Table

    or

NETGEAR GS116 10/100/1000Mbps ProSafe Gigabit Desktop Switch with Jumbo Frame Support 16 x RJ45 512 Kbytes per port Buffer Memory

or get something else? different brand, links?

and if you were wondering why i didn't use cat6, it's because i still had a box of cat5e that i bought years ago, i'm finally using it all up.

    thanks for the help :wavey:
