Weird I have an 8500 too and those are the exact same phones im looking at. I like the sanyo 5150 the best but its the most expensive the biggest and you dont get the connectivity cable with it. The tp-5200 is very nice but whenever i see it i think chic phone. So im probably getting the a400, my 8500 has never given me trouble and the a400 is g3 compatible and is supposed to support GPS which is fat. And at only 199.99, it isnt bad. i got my 8500 for 149.99.

    3G?

Actually, the A400 isn't as 3G compatible as you'd think. There's a difference between 3G-compatible handsets and 3G handsets. The 3G handsets you're thinking of that are out now (Sanyo 4700, Samsung A400, Samsung N200, LG TP5250) are really only 3G-COMPATIBLE, meaning when you call a E911 system, they can find where you are even if you, the caller, don't know. Also, SPCS offer's a "Ringers and More" plan, where you can download different ringers and screen savers for your phone.

The actual 3G phones will not be released for another 6 weeks or so, they make what you know now about SPCS Wireless Web a thing of the past. Broadband speeds, streaming video, full-motion gaming all on your phone. This is what 3G is all about. This is just the first step in Sprint's strive to make your SPCS handset your "3rd screen" Your PC, your TV, and now your PCS.

I picked up the 5250 wednsday night. I love it. The reception seems to be way better than my 8500. Tons of features. Great looks. All that noise. Only gripe is that it is almost too small.

So far only complaint is that its almost too small. It works great though. Definently worth the 130 I paid.

    Where'd you get it for $130? I'm still selling them for $149 with a $50 Mail-in-rebate included!

No, it tells Sprint or E911 where you are... not yourself.
