Which song would you have played at your funeral, and why, if possible.

I'll get us started - 'You're Simply the Best' By Tina Turner. Obvious reasons

Imagine by John Lennon, it's such a perfect song I'd play it at my wedding, my funeral...anything! I would say Imogen Heap's Hide and Seek would come in a close second though.

Probably the same song that's played at EVERY funeral, Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton it's a good song though.

"Motion Picture Soundtrack" by Radiohead..... the last line "I will see you in the next life..." sums it up perfectly.

There is a lot of great music out there for this occasion, too tired right now to think of them. This would be my first choice though, being the old southern rocker that I am.

I'd play anything Post-Rock or Post-Metal. Its atmospheric enough to get the job done.

As good a song as it may be (which I am NOT doubting...it is an all time classic), you do realize you are walking the thin line which divides opinion and cliche, right?

I mean, come on. Let it Be? Do you know how many millions of baby boomers will have that blasting at their funeral? I say, blaze your own trail.

But maybe the song has special meaning to you. And for that, I would have to respect you.

there are many more songs out there than just the beatle's "Let it be," n00b.

Having said that, I pick a song by the only person to top the beatles, Elvis.

My song choices are "Take My Hand Precious Lord," and "Reach Out to Jesus." I may yet come up with a different one, but those are it for now. :)

I picked something that would set the atmosphere. I dont want impersonal lyrics from a song playing at my funeral. Thats what the eulogy given by loved ones is for.
