just curious as to what my fellow arsenal posters would do.
I voted for the garand, but it depends on what you already have.
Every collector needs a Garand or three.
what do you have now?
a bolt action 410
side-by-side 20 ga
a 16ga Rem 870
12ga Winchester defender
and a .50 deagle
btw- i was kinda leaning towards the Garand anyway. been wanting one for a while.
Get the garand, and please never say deagle again.
At least he actually owns and shoots it.
It's a cool gun to have, but I mainly see it as a conversation piece. It costs so much to shoot, and has no real practical application, unless you live somwhere with no neighbors, then I guess you could use it as a home defense gun, but you couldn't carry it concealed, unless it was under a bit trench coat in the winter. I'm not knocking it, but I hate when people call them deagles.
i'd get the garand, because it's cooler, more practical, and if you're in the CMP, cheaper. though, surplus .30-06 is drying up.
tis a term i learned from this forum when asking why ppl hate on the .50 AE. here is a short version of the quote....
wow that's old.
i know, it took me a little while to dig it up
edit-but that quote is where i learned the term "Deagle"
It is a term used by people who play video games, and know nothing about real life guns.
i said 1911, but i'm a pistol man myself, thow, the garand is nice to
interresting side note : John Garand (the guy that designed the garand) had a ice skating rink in his living room
