Which would you get? Both are within my price range, although the first set is about $40 more expensive. Does the extra frequency response in the first set matter?

Or, I'm willing to consider other speaker sets. Within this price range ($250 or less to my door). I've been told, however, that Onkyo is the best budget speakers.

Uhh, i wouldnt pay much attention to speakers claiming their frequency response is up 90khz...

Even if it was, why would it even matter, you cant hear much past 20khz.

And I would reccomend that you put the 250 dollars into a decent pair of stereo speakers instead of a HTIB...

    A) I listen to a lot of 5.1 material (Xbox, DVDs). It's almost all I watch/play.

    B) I'm not interested in dropping more than $400 on this project. Already got $100 spent on a Sherwood RD-6108 DD/DTS/DPL2 amp.
