edit: everyones different... go to a running store and have them fit you. fuck color, brand, etc... go with whatever best fits your foot type/arch/price range.

in years of running, i've never found a pair of nikes I liked. edit take that back, i wore a nike cleat that was o-kay one year.

If you're buying a good, it comes down to what fits your feet better for the most part. NB, Saucony, Ascics all make great runners. I'm a fan of Saucony for both fit and quality/durability

I tried on about 20 pairs one day looking for the best, the guy at Dick's was not pleased lol, and I ended up with the Brooks. I like them. But everyone's feet are different. Just go try on a bunch. Brooks and Asics seem to have the highest ratings.

Used New Balance all through my high school sports career and loved 'em. Have now switched to Brooks for casual running and gym use (super nice, but make sure you find them on sale). I get mine from Sierra Trading Post usually

The pair that you try on in the store and feel comfortable in....

    Brooks
    Mizuno
    Asics

I typically steer clear of nike and adidas for running shoes, though I do use their running spikes. It's all about preference though and what you are looking for in a show and the dynamics of your own running ability. Go to a shop where they can help fit you and provide suggestions and your feet, knees, hips and lower back will be thank you...
