i am looking to upgrade my wifes laptop. Toshiba satellite S2805 650mhz 64mb ram. I am looking for a 256mb Sdram PC100 chip with 140 pin like the manual says. All I can find is 144pin or PC 133 any ideas

    Thanks
    Greg

The manual must be a misprint. 144 pin is the standard and Crucial.com confirms that your machine takes standard PC100 144 pin SODIMMs. PC133 should work too since its generally backward compatible in machines requiring PC100. However, Crucial only lists a 128MB and 32MB PC100 part for it which leads me to believe that PC133 may not work or else they'd list it too.

if you're unsure, just take the stick of ram out and count the pins
