The [glock 26] or the [XD-9 subcompact]?
gotta go with the 26, but you need the right magazine in it.
it's a crappy camera phone pic, but you get the point. (assuming the pic works)
Personally, they are both ugly as sin but then again, I don't buy guns based on looks.
so, in other words, you're suggesting the glock
If I had to choose, I'd say the Glock, but definately with an extended mag with that extra finger rest.
Other then that my vote would be a Sig P239. Looks better then both and I would go as far to say that it would shoot better as well.
Nope, to me the XD edges the Glock in meanness looks Plus I like the XD with the flashlight mount, looks more "tactical" which adds cool factor.
(before I modified the frame)
I don't like how the compact XD looks in real. The slide is too big and square looking. I prefer the G26 for looks.
I'll have to see how I end up liking my 4" XD40 though. If I like it, then I may end up getting a compact XD for carry.
I like the Sig's looks and how it feels, but one of the main reasons I got the XD was that it was the most accurate subcompact I have ever shot.
That being said, mine is going to be traded in this winter....
Going from the 9mm to an XD40 SC
Thats said between those two the glock for the superior finish.
I agree, the slide on the xd sc's looks too big and bulky.. the service and tactical models look fine, but something about the sc just doesnt look right.
Be sure to buy the prettiest one
if you guys think that looks have nothing to do with the gun purchase, then god save you...
i've already decided i like the XD, but that's cuz the glock doesnt fit in my hand worth a shit..
i was just curious as to which you guys thought had better aesthetic appeal
Why? Because we'd rather buy a gun that can shoot well over a gun that looks awesome but is a horrible shot?
I've already learned my lesson on purchasing a gun based purely on looks.
when it comes down to looks, I only worry about one thing....
How will it look to the asshat I am pointing it at.
i'm sure there's more than one gun that feels right in your hand and you are happy with, after that comes the aesthetics
i like the xd better. the glock just looks too plain.
i'd say the glock looks better than the xe
