    I wouldn't think one would be much better than the other. They're both dirt cheap.

    Can you recommend a comparable lens for a Nikon N80? She has a nice zoom lens, just needs an everyday multipurpose lens. :hsughno:

    nikkor > tamron

    depending on the lens, sometimes it's a big difference sometimes not so much.

    You can't get a decent zoom for under $100...this is about the only lets that you would want to use in that price range.

    It's the same one she broke. I really don't want to spend much over 100 dollars if there is a better lens someone can recommend.

    you can't get shit for $100.. get her a 16x point and shoot. Even the 50mm is $120ish

    ahh well, then if its for a film camera they are decent lenses, I was thinking for digital, they wouldnt be the right range, stay with the nikkor then
