The SO said she would get me a subscription to a magazine, but I dont know which one. Mainly looking for a mag that has lots of CC and PP tips. Also geared towards DSLRs. I looked at a Popular Photography mag and they seem ok. My brother reads Shutterbug, but I havent had the chance to check them out. Which do you suggest? Should I even bother?

Honestly, I don't buy any photo mags anymore. Most of the time any tutorial or technique I find interesting I look up online when I get home. Normally if I have a couple of hours to kill I go to the Barnes and Noble around my house and just go through a few mags every so often. I wouldn't bother but if you want one I'd say go check em out for yourself and see which one YOU like the most. I tend to read the British magazines more though.

I've subscribed to a few different mags but usually I never even open it. I receive them and they just collect dust. I usually look for stuff online instead.

If you shoot Canon, PhotoPlus is pretty cool. It's fairly new, and all articles/how-tos/tutorials are for Canon EOS users.
