I almost pulled the trigger on a Dell XPS system a few months ago, but decided i didn't want to spend over 2k for a laptop, and put it on hold. HOwever I still really need a new one, as my other one is pretty damn old, has no sound anymore, and wont stay connected to the internet at all. Now that I see Best Buy has 0% for 18 months, I'm going to try to get one now....maybe even later today.

I'm not sure if 2, the toshiba will play COD4 or likewise with that card, im not sure how good it is. I've heard good things about Asus computers too, just wish it had a faster processsor.

I'm still debating on how I'm going to use the computer, if I'll be gaming on it or not. I've never gamed with graphic intense games before, probably dont have the time to, but it would be nice to have the ability to.
    here are my choices

1 Asus Gaming laptop... 1200 has the best video card by far ,1.83 dual core processor ,320 gig HD, fluetoof

    2. Toshiba has an ok video card (i think) and the fastest processor (2.1 dual core processor), harmon kardon speaker€s, biggest HD (400 gigs)

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 3815723071

now for a lil step down in price/quality...(might just get these, and buy a ps3 to game with)

    3. Toshiba 17" laptop just a meda accelerator, cant game on it, 3gigs of ram, 200gb hd (Only like 4200rpm tho), 1.83 dual core

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 3815723673

    4. HP laptop 3gigs ram, 250gig HD

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 4332500899

    CLIFFS
I'm wondering if the 2nd one listed, the toshiba's video card is any good. Will it play newer games like COD4? or is it shit?

I could always get teh asus and over clock it, right? The video card with it is badass, correct?

gaming on a laptop = fail if you ask me

also, why only best buy links, unless you have gift cards or something you can usually do better

or if you wanted to you could build your own :o

0% for 18 months is why best buy

I always thought toshiba's were good....

Im thinking of just buying one of the cheaper ones, and then buying a ps3

This is probably the most efficient choice $ wise.

    look at this chart:
    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/HD-3650-HD-3450-Radeon-ATi,review-30311-10.html

That HD3470 on that Toshiba is somewhere between the HD2600 Pro and HD3450.

That 9500M GS on that Asus is comparable to the MSI 8600GT OC on that chart.
