Asylum 5700 Ultra Video Card, 8x AGP, 128MB $149.00 (after rebates)

Asylum GeForce FX 5600 Ultra Video Card, 8x AGP, 128MB $129.00

    Radeon 9600se Video Card, 8x AGP, 128MB DDR $129.00

These cards are from BestBuy. Only reason i'm purchasing a card from there is because i have $100 in gift cards... I am aware these cards are available for much cheaper on the web. Although, the Asylum 5700 ULTRA card is the best price that www.pricewatch.com is offering.... so i guess that is the best buy. What do you guys think?? And what about their performance ?? :dunno:

Anybody remember who the Asylum people used to work for? If I remember correctly it was some huge video card company that worked really close with nVidia until it went under and all the techs created Asylum. As per the 3 cards, I'd say go with the 5700, but you should also check out the company Leadtek, they make good cards. I've only had limited exposure to ATI cards, never good experiences so I can't recommend them.

All in wonders have the TV tuners and more capabilties video capture wise.

Performance wise for the chipset a 9600Pro and a 9600 Pro AIW are identical.

Any sort of SE card sucks, be it nvidia or ATI.
When it comes to games like Quake 3 and UT2003, they will be pretty even. When games like HL2 come out that use heavy shaders, the Radeon will absolutely destroy the Geforce FX line :o
