I'd say missing the PWO shake.
During the workout, there's an increase in both protein anabolism and protein catabolism (if you lift) and there's also an increase in fat burning for fuel so I'd say there's not so much protein taken during this time, especially if your glycogen stores are full.
After a workout, your glycogen stores are a little depleted (even though it's not supposed to, I think there's a 30% drop in glycogen stores), there's still the higher protein catabolism/anabolism but the amount of fat used for fuel will go down.
There's also the fact that there isn't so much digestion when you're doing sports because of the activation of the autonomous nervous system while after a workout this part of the CNS isn't activated anymore and digestion begins and if your stomach's empty, I'd say your body has to rely on stores (and in this case, muscles) to get what it needs to boost the blood's sugar levels and to counter protein catabolism.
I'll check out for a study but I recall reading that protein catabolism was a hard thing to measure in a lab so it's not done often. There's also the fact that pre-workout meals are usually used in studies testing fat-burning during exercise and that PWO shake are not compared to a control condition without shake since it has been proven that it's better to have one then to have none.

I just have around 30g of BCCA's, 10g's Leucine, and 50g of Whey during my workout. So to down another 50g's after workout would make no sense

Could have said that before, thats essentially the same thing as a PWO shake. But i assume you eat ~1 hour after your workout as well?

And holy fuck that must get expensive

i couldnt find any articles specifically comparing the two, but going on what i have read on both of them seperately, missing the pwo meal is probably much worse because your body does not refill its enery stores or reconstruct muscle tissue until after the workout which is when it needs the nutrients the most. working out in a fasted state should give you a worse workout due to lower energy stores but should not burn fat or muscle tissue for energy until after the workout
