Medialayer [do want!, but they don't offer unlimted domains, need 25+ capable.]

HostGator [cheap; decent speeds, unlimited domains, but not sure they keep forgetting to bill me, it's been x months no bill.]

1&1 [Cheap vps; does the trick, 3 months free, don't know much about them.]

ASO [used them before, speeds were great until 4 months into it, and then they turned to shit.]

    :hsd:

I Reallly am not sure which one, or if there's any better ones out there. I'm looking for the following specs. *This is for another bach of sites and I need a server that's upgradable.

    Allows 30+ Domain Names.
    Atleast 50-100+ GB Transfer.
    About 250MB of Space.
    cPanel.
    Prefer $5 - $20 [max] a month.
Web Host has VPS/DEDICATED for upgrades later one.

    well start backwards.

ASO has shit speeds, and if your plannig to host 25-30 domains off of one plan, so that is out of the question.

1&1 you don't know a lot about and its not worth purchasing a hosting plan, only to find out it doesn't fit you (either the plan or the company).

Medialayer doesn't offer unlimited domains, if your willing to pay for extra domains than that should be your choice.

HostGator forgets to bill you, but that is not your problem, it's theirs. I

    MO go with HostGator.

I use Hostgator and I am happy with the service. I am billed quarterly so perhaps that is what is going on with you as well.

I recommend an ASO VPS. Pretty satisfied customer thus far. I also just got a server over at The Planet. Too soon to give any feed back but as far as sales go my rep was really slow. :o

I was with 1&1 and transferred to Hostgator. I've been billed on time, received a free month, and they've been great so far.

Thanks for all the support guys, cut it down to:
    liquidweb, hostgator, or medialayer.

Dropping HG, even though I love them; not sure yet.
Going with Liquidweb for a little bit.
Then moving to Medialayer once I save up some more $.

I love Hostgator. Some people claim to have had negative experiences with them, but so far I've had extremely fast response time with any issues that have come up. Their shared hosting plan's pretty fair in price and if you shop around you can find an unmanaged dedicated server there for $70/mo.

Personally, I wouldn't go with 1and1. They're fine if you plan on staying with them forever, but if you try to transfer your domain or move away from their service, you may find some problems.

Yep, I made the mistake going with them when I first started out. They were nothing but a pain in the ass. I actually called the PA police on them because they literally stole money from me and refused to give it back.

i was just called 1and1 for support with my cousins VPS server and getting it setup. i spoke with someone in india who could barely speak english and they gave me another number b/c it was a "server issue" and i called that number only to hear a recording say we have a high call volume, call back later, and have it disconnect the call. BULLSHIT

Damn, 1&1 is out of the question now. I contacted a liquidweb rep, and they required $5 per virtual domains, what a rip off. No way, I was going to pay $75+ a month for my 15 diffrent sites. I guess hostgator is the only choice for now, until I move to a dedicated or VPS in the future with ASO or medialayer. Thanks for the advice guys would have jumped on 1&1 if I did'nt see how bad it was beforehand.

I think I'll go ahead and fuck with them, using the 3 months free max out the Server CPU, Use up all my space, bandwidth, etc. and see how long before they call me and get mad before the free 3 months.
