I need to get a diffuser for my SB-600. I sell items on eBay and I usually put them on the floor, stand over them and take photos. I have some items that look better with bounced light, but my ceilings are peach colored. The ceiling bounce doesn't work because I get an odd cast.

I looked on the web and I posted photos of what appear to be the diffuser selection. The 3-pack is $1.99 on eBay so I am getting that regardless. Please give me your .02 on which of the other one(s) you think would be best. Please also post anything I missed that you think would be better. Thanks OTAP!

The wall behind you is the best diffuser on the market. If it's not white, tape a 3'x4' piece of white foamcore to it.

You can also use a white sheet and fire your strobe at it for a really nice diffused light.

You're shooting ebay items so you can easily set up a "studio" that works better than spending your money on small diffusers that aren't going to work much better than bare flash.

I use a lumiquest 80/20. I also have the softbox III, and the big bounce.

They sell them at adorama, B&H and many other places.

i usually face my flash at low hanging ceilings or near walls, and have the subject facing them. Works in a pinch when i cant set up a foam core.

I've had one of these for ever, but have never broken it out. I guess now that i lost my stofen i should use it. :hs:

80/20 is great it lets 80% of the light bounce off the ceiling and 20% gets directed at the subject to give a catch light.

I still use my stofen a lot. I do the whole McNally thing where I use a stofen with my softboxes and umbrellas. You lose some power, but I think the results are worth it.
