any personal experience, or is all this crap snake oil?

I had some problems with this shoulder about a year ago, and a corticosteroid fixed it.

I heard somewhere that the Chondroitin isn't really necessary, and that you'd be just as well off buying straight up glocosamine and only spending half the cash.

Either way, from what I know of these supps and of your shoulder issue, you might be barking up the wrong tree. I've read that they help to reduce mild aches and pains in the joints, especially when they're put under heavy loads.

But it sounds like your issue is a bigger deal than this, and should be treated with something more than glucosamine.

I had a pretty much idential symptom a few years ago. It turned out to be tendonitis, and 6 days of a corticosteroid made it 100%. I don't have health insurance anymore though, so I can't get a prescription for it.

I agree, because glucosamine is just a huge waste of money.
